This full bodied, off dry Pinot Gris has spicy acidity and 9.6g/l of residual sugar, just enough to give a subtle hint of sweetness. It is full of pineapple, exotic fruits and nut flavours but with its zingily fresh acidity would stand up extremely well to spicy or sweet and sour Asian style food.
“The 2017 Alsace Pinot Gris Roche Roulée has an intense, aromatic but fine and elegant nose of ripe fruits. Round and juicy on the palate, this dry Pinot Gris from the gravelly soils of the valley floor is generous and provided with fine tannins and a long, powerful finish. Promising. Tasted from the vat in October 2018.” 90-91/100pts The Wine Advocate
