An intense, well-balanced, dry Sancerre from 50-70 year old Sauvignon Blanc vines planted on the clay and limestone hillsides of Chavignol. This was fermented and matured on its lees in large old oak casks to give additional flavor and complexity. Serious Sancerre which will drink well until 2023+
