Fromm Pinot Noir Selvenen Malans – 2023

From a mix of 50 year old and 25 year old vines grown on slate and limestone soils, this is fresh and mineral, with flavours of ripe plum, cherry, black pepper and spice. It has fine underlying tannins, juicy acidity and elegance. The finish is characterised by eucalyptus and spice, with gentle toasted notes from its maturation in French oak barrels.

This should develop beautifully in bottle for 8-10 years. 13% alcohol.

Helle Rubinrote Farbe. Der Selvenen versprüht eine würzige Komposition von Kirsche, Kampot-Pfeffer, Zeder, Pflaume und  Eukalyptus. Im Gaumen eine schöne Frucht, saftige Säure und feinkörniges aber sehr griffiges Tannin. Der Körper ist  eingliederig und elegant. Die kräuterige Würze zieht sich durch den Wein und hallt lange nach. Eukalyptus, Weichsel, Waldbeeren und feine Röstaromen.
