Weingut Silas Hörler Pinot Noir Village Maienfeld, Graubünden – 2022

This impressive “village” level Pinot Noir comes from vineyards around the village of Maienfeld.
The highly aromatic grapes were fermented in open wooden vats, then pressed and the resulting wine aged for one year in French barriques. Around 30% of the barrels were new.
The wine has scents of red and black berries, spice and a hint of vanilla. It has velvet-smooth tannins, beautifully integrated acidity and a long finish. A delicious Pinot at a very fair price.
