Vincent Cuillier Fusion Champagne Brut Nature Blanc De Noirs – 2022

Vincent Cuillier is a young, rising star of the Champagne world, who produces his Champagnes with maximum respect for the biodiversity of his vineyards.

“Fusion” is his new label and is made from a blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Pinot Meunier grapes from his vineyards in the north of the Champagne region.

The wine was barrel matured in Burgundy style for 12 months after first fermentation before undergoing its second fermentation in bottle. After a further 2.5 years it was disgorged and bottled without the addition of any sugar (dosage), meaning that it is bone dry.

It has a very gentle pink tinge. On the nose there are notes of brioche and honey as well as spice and cloves. On the palate it is dry, quite full and round with good acidity and some lovely biscuity complexity.
