Vidal Estate Reserve Chardonnay Hawkes Bay – 2014

The Hawkes Bay region in the North West of New Zealand’s North Island seems to have the perfect climate for producing delicious Chardonnays with gentle citrus and tropical fruit flavours combined with fresh acidity. This wine was sourced from Vidal Estate’s best vineyards, mainly in the Gimblett Gravels area, and was matured in 15% new French oak barrels to add extra buttery, slightly nutty complexity.
