Schild Estate Moorooroo Shiraz Barossa – 2016

Made from a small block of 4 rows of Shiraz vines planted back in 1847, this is one of the oldest vineyard plots in Australia. Only 200 cases of this dark chocolate flavoured, velvety, sensual red are produced each year. From the excellent 2016 vintage, this is full of ripe fruit, power and concentration and has velvet-smooth tannins. Barossa Shiraz does not get better than this – James Halliday’s highest rated Shiraz in Australia in 2019/2020 with 99/100pts!
