Schild Estate Moorooroo Shiraz Barossa – 2002

2002 was THE great vintage of this millenium in South Australia – at least until 2012 anyway. Not many people appreciate just how well top Australian wines can age, and this is a wonderful example. From vines over 150 years old, this has all the silky smooth, sweet red berry fruit of a fine Barossa red, but with a silkiness and freshness which will give it life for many years to come. Simply delicious, and genuinely rare.
