Rainer Wess Riesling Pfaffenberg 1e OTW Lage – 2019

This fine, racy Riesling comes from 60 year old vines grown on a steep, stony vineyard very close to the Danube. It was wild-yeast fermented then left on its lees for 1 year in old acacia barrels to gain richness and intensity.

It has just the faintest hint of sweetness (6.5g/l or residual sugar) and is bursting with energy, zesty acidity and minerality and  delicious passion fruit and peach flavours. Easy to love already, yet serious and with good ageing potential. Drink from 2021 until 2030.
