Moss Wood Amy’s, Margaret River, West Australia – 2020

Moss Wood’s great value “Amy’s” is one of our favourite examples from the beautiful Margaret River wine region. A blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 10% Malbec and 8% Petit Verdot with ripe, concentrated cassis fruit, well-structured tannins and good freshness and elegance. From the warm and sunny 2020 vintage, this is a super quality second wine to the estate’s more famous Cabernet Sauvignon.

“A blend of cabernet sauvignon, malbec, merlot, and petit verdot. Just gorgeous from the start through to its exceptionally refined and long palate finish. Strikes such a good balance between fruit and oak with a red fruit dominance supported with a chalky mouth feel.” 94/100pts Ray Jordan “Blackcurrants, blackberries, flowers and lead pencil on the nose. Full-bodied with tangy fruit as well as a orange peel and walnut undertone. Tight and focused at the finish. A blend of cabernet sauvignon, malbec, merlot, and petit verdot.
