From a small plot of 4 acres of old vines planted in the 1950s and 1970s at the foot of the famous Grand Cru La Tache and Clos Parentoux 1er Cru vineyards.
There is much finesse and elegance in this wine, very typical of the Vosne-Romanée appellation. Fullness and charm coexist here, in a wine which is not as awe-inspiring as the superb crus, “les Brûlées” and “Cros Parantoux”, but which is easy to drink and will quickly seduce you.
“A bright deep purple. Some deep purple fruit too, this is one of the richest wines, hitting 14.5%, which slightly impacts the balance on the palate. Good wine in this richer style, but less finesse at least at this stage. Drink from 2031-2036. Tasted Nov 2024.” 90-93pts Jasper Morris MW
