Histoire d’Enfer Syrah Valais AOC – 2012

This part of the Valais region is the source of the Rhone river, along which just a couple of hundred kilometres downstream the most famous Syrah grapes in the world are grown in Hermitage and Cote Rotie. The mountainous slopes of Valais are deceptively warm and sunny and this is a great example of their potential for growing seriously world class Syrah. Dark, peppery, elegant and fresh, this is a seriously interesting Syrah.
