Giscours OWC-12 Margaux AC – 2015

This fairly large estate (by Bordeaux standards) consistently offers excellent value for anyone looking for a really good example of the Margaux appellation at an affordable price. Their beautiful chateau is surrounded by vineyards, woodland and overlooks their own lake, in which legend has it, a mermaid lives (hence the name of their second wine – la Sirène!) 

The 2015 has power, depth and structure. Warm, sunny red fruit character with floral hints. Some developed characters of spice and “forest floor” are just beginning to show after 10 years, but the fruit still tastes young. Elegant, fine, silky tannins. A top class “Margaux”! 95/100 PL, tasted at the chateau in September 2025
