Fromm Pinot Noir Spielmann Malans – 2024

Spielmann vineyard is one of the jewels in Georg’s range. The vines are Burgundy clones, and Georg usually ferments these Pinot grapes using a high percentage of whole bunches, which gives the wine a lovely, spicy character, extra freshness and a little more structure.

According to the team at Fromm, this wine left them speechless this year! Unfortunately only 50 cases were produced.

Here is Georg Fromm’s tasting note:-

“Extraordinary! Vibrant! Transcendent! It plays with the emotions, has rough edges yet possesses a unique harmony and balance. Complex, spicy, primarily fruity and vegetal with a mineral acidity and tannin structure and enormous length. The only downside: there are only 582 bottles of it.”

mineralischen Säure-Gerbstoffstruktur und enormer Länge.  Einziger Wermutstropfen: es gibt lediglich 582 Flaschen davon.”
