Fromm Malanser Pinot Noir Village – 2021

The 2021 vintage was a tricky one throughout Switzerland, but the village of Malans was protected from widespread frost damage in April by its surrounding mountains and unique microclimate. An extremely wet July was then saved by a beautiful, long and sunny Alpine Autumn, so that Georg’s 2021 wines have beautiful fruit purity, freshness and minerality.

Fromm’s Village Pinot Noir is sourced from a mix of fruit from all his vineyards. It is fresh and juicy with crystal-pure flavours of black cherry and blackberry. The tannins are fine and silky and the finish is surprisingly long, showing that this vintage has very good quality potential. This is a very impressive introduction to Georg’s excellent range of Pinot Noirs.
