Emiliano Falsini Feudo Pignatone Etna Rosso DOC – 2022

Feudo Pignatone’s red wines come from organically grown Nerello Mascalese grapes planted at 700mts altitude on Mount Etna’s northern slopes. Partly from 30 year old vines, but with a majority of grapes from vines over 100 years old, this light to medium bodied red has surprising freshness and elegance for a wine from such a warm climate. Bursting with gentle, juicy red cherry fruit and spice flavours, it finishes with an explosion of volcanic minerality. The warm and sunny 2022 vintage has made this wonderfully consumer-friendly and attractive, yet it retains real individuality and finesse. Certified organic. Only 375 cases were produced.
