Eisacktal Aristos Kerner Alto Adige DOC – 2024

This dry white wine was grown on quartz-rich soils at 750-1000m altitude in the Dolomite mountains. The Kerner grape is a crossing between Riesling and Schiava, and the wonderful, rapier-like acidity of the Riesling grape is clear to taste in this example.
It has crystal pure flavours of lemon, lime and grapefruit with a vibrant core of Riesling-like acidity. Fresh, elegant, fine and complex, this is a perfect expression of the crystal pure, fresh Dolomite mountain air and will develop beautifully in bottle for at least 10 years.
Drink with light appetisers, cold meats, egg or mushroom dishes, poached freshwater fish and shellfish, or on its own as an apero.
