Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2008 Syrah has intense blackberry, black cherry and black pepper aromas with subtle touches of cloves, anise, bacon, chocolate and a bit of earth. Medium bodied and tightly knit with a good amount of savory and spice flavors in the mouth, it has refreshing acidity and a medium level of rounded tannins to support, finishing long.
