This fine and elegant Pinot Noir comes from 9 hectares of vines planted on Limestone and Kimmeridgian clay slopes in 1967.
It was wild-fermented, then matured in old wooden casks, so there are no new oak-driven flavours in the wine.
Les Cris is a beautifully fresh yet dense Pinot Noir with firm tannic structure and excellent balance of fruit and acidity. It has gently floral, perfumed aromas and delicate respberry and red berry fruit flavours. This is a mineral and terroir-expressive Pinot which is best enjoyed with food. It gives many Burgundies with considerably higher price tags a serious run for the money!
