Domaine Jones Along Came Jones Hairy Grenache – 2022

Katie Jones is a quirky, humorous and very skilled English winemaker who has been making great wine in the Southwest corner of France for over 25 years. She specialises in rescuing neglected plots of extremely old vines and through a combination of passion, hard work and real winemaking talent is able to produce amazing wines from them.

This Hairy Grenache (aka Lledoner Pelut) is a perfect example of why I love what she does! From a grape nobody has ever heard of before (this is the only “hairy” Grenache wine in the world!) and 70-80 year old vines she has concocted an intense, vibrant, fruit-packed, spicy red which is bursting with personality. Katie only produced 1,000 bottles of this nectar so we advise you to snap it up while you can!
