Domaine du Closel Savennieres La Jalousie – 2020

Made from Chenin Blanc from 20-30 year old vines on very low yielding, schistous soils. The grapes were hand-picked quite early to retain the grapes’ youthful acidity, fermented naturally with wild yeasts, then left on their lees in large neutral vats for 19 months to gain complexity.

The wine is fresh and vivacious, elegant and fine, with flavours of wild peach, gentle apple fruits and jasmine spice. It has a long finish. Perfect served as an apero, with grilled fish or goat’s cheese. Around 550 cases were produced.

This wine is certified biodynamic.
