Biodynamic-certified Clos Bellane are situated at 400mts altitude above the village of Valréas in France’s Southern Rhone region. The vines are cooled by a constant breeze which help give the wines unusual freshness and purity for this warm region.
This very special white wine is made from 100% Roussanne grapes and combines Southern Rhone opulence with Northern Rhone tension and Burgundian minerality! It was picked late, when the grapes were perfectly ripe, then fermented in oak barrels and left on its lees for the next 15-18 months.
It has beautifully complex flavours of honey, beeswax, quince and truffles, a creamy smooth mouthfeel and invigorating freshness on the finish. A truly unique and delcious white wine which will continue to drink well until at least 2030!
