This latest vintage Champagne to be released by Charles Heidsieck comes from the cool 2012 vintage. It was matured on its lees for 6.5 years until being disgorged and bottled in 2019.
It has a complex array of fruit flavours – apricot, grapefruit and quince – together with notes of honey, nuts and brioche. Very intense, elegant and mineral with an excellent balance between sweet and sour flavours. The winemaker Cyrill Brun likens it to a cross in style between 2006 and 2008.
