Andes Plateau Cota 700 Red Blend Maipo Valley, Chile – 2021

Andes Plateau winery is based in San Fernando in the Colchagua Valley, but the individual vineyards are based in different regions and at varying altitudes in the Andes mountains.
This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Merlot comes from vineyards planted above 800ms altitude in the Maipo Valley. It is the Estate’s flagship red.
Full of ripe, purple fruit flavours with some Mediterranean-style herbs and spices, this combines power and depth with high altitude freshness, elegance and intensity. Firm tannins and gentle, nutty flavours from its ageing in French oak barrels give the potential to develop for at least another 5 years. A fine, beautifully-balanced red which clearly demonstrates Chile’s exciting quality potential. 13.5% alcohol.
Enjoy with barbecued red meats or a cheese and mushroom risotto.
