Feudo Pignatone’s red wines come from organically grown Nerello Mascalese grapes planted at 700mts altitude on Mount Etna’s northern slopes. Partly from 30 year old vines, but with a majority of grapes from vines over 100 years old, this light to medium bodied red has surprising freshness and elegance for a wine from such a warm climate. Bursting with gentle, juicy red cherry fruit and spice flavours, it finishes with an explosion of volcanic minerality.
