This Malbec comes from the Paraje Altamira subregion of Mendoza’s Uco Valley, which is surely the single most exciting new terroir in all Argentina. At an altitude of 1100 mts and from impossibly stony soils, the young Sebastian Zuccardi has crafted one of the purest, most unadulterated, vibrantly fruity, mineral-packed Malbecs I have tasted! This wine was fermented and matured in concrete amphorae with absolutely no use of oak, in order to maximise the flavours of both the Malbec grape and this exceptional terroir. This is the new wave of Argentinean Malbec and totally unique. For winemaker Sebastian Zuccardi , this is the most important Malbec in his range.
