2017 was a fairly cool vintage in Marlborough, giving this wine a delicious freshness, elegance and purity of red woodland berry fruit flavours. Very good Pinot for this price! “Sourced from the Taylors Pass and Seddon Vineyards, and blended with fruit from the Wairau Valley’s southern side, the 2017 Reserve Pinot Noir shows the coolness of the vintage in its herbal, briary aromas and wiry feel. Yet it’s still reasonably plump in the mouth, marked by silky tannins and much more finesse than this bottling used to show.” 91/100pts The Wine Advocate
