Tawse Robyn’s Block Chardonnay Ontario – 2013

Situated on the lower slopes of the Niagara Escarpment, Tawse is a family-owned, organic and biodynamic winery which was for the 4th time voted Canada’s “winery of the year” in 2016. Owner Moray Tawse is a Burgundy fanatic (he is also co-owner of Domaine Marchand Tawse in Burgundy) who unites traditional “Burgundian” winemaking techniques with state of the art winemaking technology.
This cool climate, Chablis-esque Chardonnay comes from 33 year old vines – the oldest on the estate. It has refreshing acidity, gentle pineapple and apple fruit flavours and delicious biscuity complexity from its 12 months in French oak.
