A multi-vintage blend of 45% Pinot Noir, 20% Pinot Meunier and 35% Chardonnay. Contains 60% reserve wine averaging 10 years old. 18months on lees. 6g/l dosage. This fine, dry sparkling wine is an expression of the different rock types which underlie Sugrue’s vineyards – chalk, limestone, sandstone and clay. It has a brooding, autolytic nose showing orchard fruit and layers of richness and complexity from the reserve wines in the blend. Focused and fresh with a long finish. An excellent introduction to the Sugrue winemaking style at a very fair price.
