Schild Estate Prämie Shiraz Barossa – 2013

This wine is a new release from Schild Estate and is designed to showcase their most exciting Shiraz parcels of the year and to reflect the best qualities of each particular vintage.
Deep red/purple colour, the aromas are of blackberry, dark plum and other black fruits, fruit-driven and rich, with a tinge of toastiness from barrels. There is bright, sweet, ripe fruit in abundance, and the flavours are blackberry and dark cherry. The finish is tightly focused and long, energetic and taut, and it will repay cellaring. A very smart, stylish shiraz.
