This delicious white Burgundy comes from vines over 80 years old which gives the wine wonderful intensity of flavour, grip and balance. The butterscotch oak flavours are beautifully integrated with the gentle honeysuckle, peach and apple fruit flavours, making this an ideal companion to smoked salmon or other slightly smoky foods. “Since the 2017 Pouilly-Fuissé Les Courtelongs is north-facing, it won’t be classified as a premier cru, but it’s nonetheless one of the domaine’s finest wines. Offering up a youthful bouquet of confit lemon, citrus oil, white flowers, fresh peach and almond paste, it’s medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny, with lively acids and good tension to temper its texture. This is also the most reserved wine in the range, and it will improve with bottle age.” 93/100 pts The Wine Advocate
