HJ Fabre Barrel-Select Malbec Patagonia – 2015

Not only were Bodegas Fabre voted Argentina’s Winery of the Year in 2017 by the IWSC, but this Malbec from the far end of the world down in Patagonia  has won “Best Malbec” at the annual Decanter magazine’s wine competition for the past 2 years!

It is full of Malbec’s dark plum and damsen fruit character but with more freshness and less alcohol than typical Mendoza Malbecs, due to the cooler climate in southerly Patagonia. For under CHF20/bt you won’t find a better red than this!
