Made in traditional “methode Champenoise” style from a blend of 42% Chardonnay, 36% Pinot Noir and 23% Pinot Meunier, this classy sparkling wine was left for 96 months on its lees during its important second fermentation in bottle!
The 2013 growing season was cool and unsettled but a dry and sunny September and October allowed the grapes to develop slowly to full maturity. The result is this very impressive English sparkler with crisp, refreshing acidity, ripe English apple fruit favours and an intensely bready, biscuity complexity from its long ageing on its lees.
