Gianni Brunelli Amor Costante IGT Toscana – 2022

This small but very fine Brunello producer is ideally situated, with vines just below those of Biondi Santi in the southeast of Montalcino, as well as a small vineyard  (called Le Chiuse) of Sangiovese vines planted in 1947 to the north of the town.

This delicious red is full bodied and hedonistic blend of 80% Merlot with 20% Sangiovese, matured in French or Slavonian oak casks for 24-30 months before release.

It has an intense ruby red colour and gentle aromas of cherry, strawberries, roses, sweet spices, vanilla and black pepper.
The Sangiovese is full of freshness and in perfect balance with the silky smooth tannins of the Merlot. Very complex, rich yet elegant, with a long finish. A really fine, under the radar “Supertuscan”!
