Fatalone Primitivo Riserva Gioia Del Colle DOC – 2015

This is Primitivo as you rarely taste it – unspoilt by residual sugar, pure in fruit and wonderfully fresh! Made 100% organically in the heart of this grape’s homeland – the Gioia Del Colle region of Puglia – with no added Sulphites and no fining or filtration in order to retain the maximum flavours of this wonderful grape and terroir. During its 12 months in Slavonian oak barrels the winemaker even plays music to this wine in order to optimise the microoxygenation process!

Full bodied, rich in minerality and freshness, with slightly sour black cherry and plum flavours and ripe fruity notes of blackberry and mulberry, and spices like clove and cacao. The tannins are velvet smooth and there is a toasted almond taste on the finish which is typical of this top quality Primitivo wine growing zone.
