Domaine du Closel Savennieres Clos du Papillon – 2020

Made from the Estate’s very best Chenin Blanc grapes grown on 40-45 year old vines on schist and volcanic soils. The grapes carefully hand-picked over 3 separate “tries”, fermented naturally using wild yeasts, then matured for 10 months in large oak casks (10% new) followed by 4 months in neutral vats.

The wine is a wonderful mix of freshness, elegance and subtlety together with complexity and mouthfilling fruit flavours. It is vibrant and lively with zesty minerality on its long finish. It has 13.7% alcohol and should develop in bottle for 10-20 years.
