This producer is a rapidly rising star in Burgundy. Based in the heart of Echezeaux, they own their own vines and their style has been compared by Neil Martin of the Wine Advocate to a cross between Emmanuel Rouget and Mugneret-Gibourg.
Quite simply, I love their wines as they give everything a top red Burgundy should give – freshness, beautiful silky fruit and tannins, perfect balance and the lingering desire to drink another glass – or three!
“Cask sample. Mid crimson. Less open and expressive than the Chambolle but it opens up to pure, dark-red fruit with a delicate hint of spice. More dark-fruited on the palate, really elegant tannin texture with a firmer grip at the very end. Needs a little more time than some.” 16/20pts jancisrobinson.com
