Fatalone Primitivo Gioia Del Colle DOC – 2021

This is Primitivo as you rarely taste it – unspoilt by residual sugar, pure in fruit and fresh! Made 100% organically in the heart of this grape’s homeland – the Gioia Del Colle region of Puglia – with no added Sulphites and no fining or filtration in order to retain the maximum flavours of this wonderful grape and terroir. During its 6 months in Slavonian oak barrels the winemaker even plays music to this wine in order to optimise the microoxygenation process!
It has aromas and flavours of berries and slightly sour black cherries and plums with some spicy and balsamic notes, perfect balance of smoothness, freshness and minerality, and an aftertaste of toasted almond; typical of a natural, authentic Primitivo from Gioia del Colle.
This is a perfect winter weekday-evening wine, rich and warming, and great with spicy fish or pasta dishes!
