This Morgon comes from 65 year old vines grown in the schistous/volcanic-soiled Cote du Puy subzone. It is extremely pure and intense with lovely depth and density of vibrant raspberry and red berry fruits. It is very young and needs a little time to open up but the fruit is delicious! “Unfurling in the glass with notes of black cherries, mulberries, cracked black pepper and dark chocolate, the 2017 Morgon Côte du Puy is a deep, brooding, medium to full-bodied wine with considerable power and firm but fine-grained extract.
