|When to drink|
Chasselas is perhaps Switzerland’s most famous white grape, and this is one of the most impressive and serious examples I have tried – at a remarkably good price! It comes from a top Grand Cru vineyard on the steep slopes near Lavaux overlooking Lake Geneva. It is deliciously fresh and crisp, light in body yet with underlying power, and with a nutty, slightly honeyed intensity which make it the perfect companion to fresh seafood this Christmas. It is drinking beautifully already but will develop in bottle for up to 20+ years!
