2023 was a year of many contrasts during the growing season, with a fresh spring, hail storms and a hot and dry end to the summer. Chateau Thivin’s wines are well balanced and full bodied with lovely and complex flavours of very ripe fruits. Another great vintage with good ageing potential!

It is bursting with strawberry, cherry and cranberry fruit flavours. Chateau Thivin’s hallmark freshness and finesse combine beautifully with an extra layer of fruit depth and concentration resulting from the exceptionally warm, dry and sunny 2022 vintage.
This year’s Beaujolais Villages Nouveau from top producer Chateau Thivin, based in the Cote de Brouilly region, comes from 50 year old vines grown on granite soils above the village of Quincié en Beaujolais. 2021 was a difficult growing season, with frost, hail and a wet summer, but very careful viticulture and a sunny late August and September saved the day. This Nouveau is fresh and elegant, bursting with red cherry, cranberry and strawberry fruit flavours and packed with crunchy acidity – a pure, classic Gamay!
