From 100 year old, hand-cultivated vines, this wine was wild-yeast fermented then matured in used acacia barrels for 6 months on its lees.
It has a deep lemon-gold colour and floral, biscuit and spicy aromas. On the palate it is quite broad, rich and complex, with stone fruit and orange and lemon fruit flavours, well-balanced acidity and a peppery, spicy finish. The really old vines have given this wine an extra level of complexity and interest and it is excellent value!
