This is one of our favourite Bordeaux second wines, from the superb Pomerol property Vieux Chateau Certan. The wine has the silky texture and beautiful balance which are the hallmarks of winemaker Alexandre Thienpont, who is undoubtedly one of Bordeaux’s most gifted winemakers.
And the warm and sunny 2015 vintage was a great success in Pomerol, giving bags of ripe, opulent red fruit flavours.
