This 100% Syrah comes from the schist and clay-soiled “Cote Brune” hillside of Cote Rotie, which gives darker, more masculine and structured wines than the Cote Blonde. It was matured for 18-20 months in 225l Frenck oak barrels, 30% of which were new.
