Desvignes Morgon Cote Du Py Cuvée Javernières – 2022

Javernières is a small vineyard at the foot of the famous Cote de Py in Morgon. The soil here is a mix of clay and iron and the vines have an average age of 40 years. The exposure of the vineyard is southeast and the vines have been worked organically since 2005.
With aromas of ripe blackberries and violets, it has lovely weight of fruit, elegance and finesse and a long finish. 13.5% alcohol. Pure indulgence!
“The 2022 Morgon Côte du Py Javernières is captivatingly fragrant with aromas of cherries, pomegranate, dried petals, Earl Grey tea, slate and Indian spices. The palate is medium to full-bodied and packed with a silken core of fruits interlaced with salinity. It has a lining of ripe acidity and a persistent tension from the chalk-like tannins that impart a subtle resistance; together, this draws the wine out with great sophistication, culminating in a long, crafted finish.
