This dry, fresh and fruity Torrontes from high altitude vineyards in the Gualtallary sub-region of Mendoza’s Uco Valley was matured for 6 months in French oak barrels to give extra richness and complexity. A distinctly classy and superior rendition of this uniquely Argentinean white grape.
“Two high-altitude parcels at 1,420 and 1,500 metres in Gualtallary are the source of this exciting Uco Valley Torrontés, which bears a certain resemblance to a Riesling. Stony and intense, with steely acidity, lip-smacking minerality, flavours of lime and lemongrass and a patina of spicy, toasty oak.” 94pts Tim Atkin MW
