Tahbilk Old Vines Cabernet Shiraz Nagambie Lakes – 2012
CHF 30.00 CHF 24.00
Chateau Tahbilk is one of Australia’s oldest family wineries, established in the Nagambie Lakes area of Victoria (about 120 miles north of Melbourne) back in 1860. It is highly-respected Australian wine writer James Halliday’s winery of the year for 2016.
This traditionally Australian blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz (approximately 50/50) is produced from old vines with an average of 35 years’ age.
2012 was a perfect growing season in this region and has produced top quality reds capable of 10-15 years ageing. This is rich, fruit-packed and complex with surprising elegance and finesse; a serious quality Aussie red at a very fair price.
