In this special offer you receive 2 bottles of Charles Heidsieck Brut Reserve Non Vintage and 1 bottle of Charles Heidsieck Vintage Brut 2006 at the same price as the Non Vintage.
Charles Heidsieck’s Brut Reserve NV was laid down in the cellar in 2008 and disgorged in 2016, meaning it spent an amazing 8 years on its lees during its second fermentation in bottle (most Champagnes spend only 3 years undergoing this second fermentation!) This, together with the very high proportion (40%) of reserve wine in the blend with an average age of 12 years old, gives this Non Vintage Champagne its unique biscuit and brioche flavours and wonderful intensity and length.
Charles Heidsieck Brut Vintage Champagne 2006 is the latest vintage to be released from the winery. It was disgorged in 2017 and so has spent 11 years in bottle during its second fermentation. This vintage was awarded 93/100pts by the World of Fine Wine magazine and has “lovely nose, subtle, complex, solids, with leesy nuttiness, golden toast and apples, fine fruit richness and intensity, subtle mousse, vinous and youthful, intense fruit purity with fine, firm balancing acidity and an elegant finish.” |
