The 2014 vintage was magnificent in Margaret River!
Possibly the best the region has ever experienced!

I tasted all the region’s best wines at a huge “Wine Australia” tasting in London this January and these were my absolute highlights:

Leeuwin Estate Art Series Chardonnay 2014 at CHF 85.00/75cl
This is for me the best Chardonnay outside of Burgundy, and a wonderful comparison with any Grand Cru from the Cotes de Beaune from the excellent 2014 vintage.

Moss Wood Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 at CHF 80.00/75cl
Not many regions can produce great reds and great whites in the same vintage, but Margaret River is an exception due to its warm, sunny climate and freshening winds blowing in from the nearby Indian Ocean. Moss Wood regularly produce one of Australia’s greatest Cabernets and this example perfectly combines Bordeaux-style structure and elegance with Australian fruit and power.
